Variations of Car Windscreens
Car windscreens are needed for every single car on the road. Windscreens can easily become chipped or cracked and will need replacing. If you have a small chip in your windscreen, chances are you can get it fixed by companies like auto-glass etc. These compaines insert a special resin into the chip which can repair it. If your windscreen has a larger chip or crack, chances are, it will need fully replacing. There are a few different types of windscreens available on the market. Most commonly, there is a standard laminated saefty glass windscreen, which is what your car would usually be fitted with by the manufacturer. These have been developed to stop the glass smashing all over the occupants of the car and instead it just cracks all over. Another variation of windscreen you get hold of is UV coated. These help protect the driver and other people in the car from UV rays. You can also get heated windscreens which are designed to clear them when they are misted or lightly frozen. Heated windows are usually more common on the rear window but now are becoming increasingly more common on the front windscreen.
